Let’s Talk Intuition: Are You Listening?

Every year, the top two New Year’s resolutions are to get out of debt and to lose weight. Most of the people with these resolutions had the same resolutions last year and the year before and probably the year before that, too. They know what they need to do. They even feel it deep within very strongly that they should, but they don’t.

Why not follow this inner guidance now instead of suffering? It’s so much easier to just listen to what you deeply know is the right thing to do. Listening requires that you take time by yourself for yourself.

With noise everywhere around you today (TV, music, phones, social media, constant chatter, etc.), it’s difficult to get in tune with your intuition. The chatter is a constant distraction. Your spiritual self cannot focus. You must take time in silence, away from distractions.

Using meditation or prayer, you can tune into your higher self or higher power and be open to receiving messages. Just meditating or sitting in open prayer (mind open and simply in connection with your higher power, not asking for anything) for five to 10 minutes a day will make a major difference in your ability to build a strong intuition. You will start to receive messages in abundance and you need to have faith in what you receive.

Now, all you have to do is act. No excuses or talking yourself out of it. As you start to make these changes in your life, you will find that when you listen to and follow your intuition, life begins to flow a lot easier, and you will experience a lot less strife.
